Worked great until it just stopped working

Initially, this product was great.
Easy setup, worked as described.

Then one day randomly it j just would not connect anymore. The blue light still blinks as if it were pairing, so it’s not a battery issue. And it shows up on Bluetooth list on my phone. But will no longer connect. I tried unpairing and re-pairing, but does not work.

I tried to hook this onto my handlebars and the bars were too thin by about 2 millimeters. The handlebars are standard 7/8″ (22.2mm) bars. The mount just sort of wobbled around freely which makes it kind of hard to use. Additionally, the buttons are on a shared face and are really hard to use with gloves on. The handlebar problem can sort of be side stepped because the remote can be removed from the cylinder mount and alternatives can be used, like the included sticky mount.

Underneath I believe it uses a coin battery, I think cr2032 in size. The manual says it has a standby time of 2 YEARS. We’ll see about that, maybe.

I have bluetooth in my car and controls on my steering wheel. So why get this? I hate my car’s bluetooth. Sometimes it doesn’t connect at all, sometimes it drops out. Just hate it. Ended up getting a smart mirror, connecting to that and running an aux cable from the mirror to the car. Works great, always connects. But now, the only way I can play/pause or change tracks is by using the phone or the mirror. This solves that so I have controls at my fingertips on the wheel again! It fits perfectly on the wheel, stays in place well but easy enough to remove if needed. Once connected to your device, it works just great. Play/pause, track and volume of device all function perfectly. Also, when getting away from device it will automatically disconnect. To reconnect, just push any button on the controller and it will connect with in seconds. Haven’t had a single issue with it.
